Hello Race
Director(s):
I was excited today
to place third in my age group (third place for women 35-39) for the half
marathon, and glad to have the souvenir/award of the pint glass. Hauling
things into my house after the race, however, the single thing that fell from
my arms was my glass... and it shattered. Is there any way you would be
willing to send me a replacement? I would love to have it. Please let
me know either way. Thanks, and so sorry!
Best,
H. R.

Sir or Madam:
I was privileged to
run your 1/2 marathon today. Your race is primo. The organization
was great. The course was well-marked. The aid stations were
appropriately spaced, well-staffed, and had all the essential sustenance:
water, Gatorade, and gel packets. You even had a bag check!
My friends who had
run the Breckenridge Crest Marathon yesterday. For their $50 they had 4
aid stations that were placed for the convenience of the race director, not the
runners. The course was poorly marked and even ran them down stairs at
the 24 mile point! They were blown away with how great your race was.
Keep up the good
work,
D. M.

Hi!
I thoroughly enjoyed the ˝ marathon yesterday.
Thanks so much for a great event!
Thanks so much,

Hello,
Thank you for hosting another successful day of
races!
I finished 2nd in the Men’s Master group,
but was unable to wait for my award. Last year my award was mailed to
me. I am certainly willing to pay for shipping/postage. Please let
me know how you would like to handle shipping the award.
Thank you,
C. M.
---------------------------------------------------------------------Thank You so much for making the 2007 ADT Marathon great. My only suggestions are to add a sign to the northernmost aid station, telling us this was the last station (I expected to get water at the turnaround) and also on the last aid station before finishing telling us the same thing. In both cases, I'd have drunk just a little more if I knew.
The pacers were great. The 5:00 and 5:30 pacers were very helpful in not only keeping me near my desired pace but also in providing encouragement and course management.
Thanks again,
Steve

The race was
fantastic. Volunteers were excellent, the course scenic and enjoyable,
and the weather... perfect. Thanks for all you did - except for the
weather which might not have been your doing.
My girlfriend,
Heather, and I both placed in the races. I was first in 40-44 male
marathon and Heather was 3rd in 35-39 female half marathon. As soon as we
got home, Heather dropped her glass and it shattered to pieces. She was
crushed because she was very excited about winning. Is there any way
possible that we can replace her glass? I would be supremely
grateful with anything that you can do.
We will be back
next year! Thanks again!

Director-
Thank you very much
for a wonderful race. This was my first marathon, and as promised, it was
a wonderful course with very cheerful, helping volunteers.
I was writing
though, to apologize. I just looked up my final finishing time, and much
to my surprise, saw that I was in the top three for my age group. I had
not expected something like that, and was off playing with my daughter in the
fountain during the awards ceremony. I just felt compelled to ensure the
staff that the marathon was a wonderful event, and the festivities weren't
ignored by the runners. My company had four happy competitors finish the
race and look forward to the event next year. We were just spread out at
the massage table, park, and fountain during the ceremony. Please keep up
the good work. Your efforts are not done in vain.
Sincerely-
K. G.
---------------------------------------------------------------------Thanks to you and all the volunteers for another great ADT race. As always, the aid stations and after-race events were fabulous.
I have suggested and still think you should have an award for the person who does the most ADT Marathons from the inaugural. I have so far done all 7.
Again, thanks for hard work! (Good suggestion!.... from the staff)

Thank you so much
for a great race. I had such a good experience. Everyone was
helpful and nice. I ran with the 4 hour pace team for the first half, and
then couldn't keep up. But Tamara was a steady and helpful guide for the
time I did run with her.
Just one question,
I finished 2nd in my age group and am wondering if I get a certificate or
anything for that? I actually assumed I didn't place, so I didn't ask after the
race.
Thank you again for
a wonderful marathon. I'll run it again.
---------------------------------------------------------------------There weren't enough bathrooms. I was frantically looking for port-o-potties, just to find the ones at the half way mark were locked.

I
was unable to stick around after the run and noted on the website that the
awards were at the Colo Running Company. I stopped by this weekend and they
told me they only had the age group awards. Do you know where I can pick up my
overall award (3rd Marathon Finisher)?
Thanks
– I enjoyed the race and hope to do it again next year,

I loved this marathon. I had to leave before
the age division awards were given out. In the female age division 35-40
I came in 3rd place…that is a first for me, so I was excited.
Was anything given out for the top 3 winners in each age division. I
would be very interested in getting that even if I need to send you some money
for shipping.
Thanks again for putting on a great marathon!

---------------------------------------------------------------------I had a wonderful time doing the half marathon this year! I used it for training for the Boulder Backroads which I will do Sunday! my first. I'm a walker.
I wish there were portapots available along the route. You had such great support for us walkers/runners, but no potties! I stopped at Goose Gossage Park-BIG MISTAKE, it took 7 minutes off my time and it was the filthiest thing I've been in in my life!
so next year I hope to see more portalets. I am willing to pay a higher registration fee for this "luxury".
kudos for an otherwise awesome race! beautiful, jut beautiful and FUN! I especially loved being blasted with music as I crossed the finish line--I could have walked another 13 miles after that, it reallly lifted my spirits!
B. M. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Travis,
Just wanted to thank you for an excellent race today. I ran my best personal time ever and was absolutely shocked to discover that I had won my age division! How delighted I am and how honored I am to have participated. Maybe next year the half! :)
Thanks again,
K. M. ---------------------------------------------------------------------My friend got second place in the 5K, if I'm reading the brochure correctly she is to get a trophy - when you get a minute - let me know where we can pick it up.
Jean Workman - 35 yrs old
Also, we didn't receive our shirt in the packet we picked up at the Colorado Running Company - let me know where we are to pick our shirts up as well.
Regards,
R. S. ---------------------------------------------------------------------I checked my times, and there was a gap at miles 12 & 13 going out (it is
possible I might have missed one marker, but not both), and mile 19
returning. This was in the area south of the Woodmen aid station.
Thanks for the great experience! The ADT should really advertise as an
excellent first-timers marathon. I hope to return next year. (Thanks for your suggestion…..the staff)

I ran my first marathon with the ADT this Labor Day. It was a great experience. The volunteers were terrific. I appreciate that the finish line stayed in place after the cut-off time. I felt like the volunteers really wanted everyone to finish, and have a good time. The trail was well marked. The trail was fairly flat and well-groomed - exactly as described on the website. I was advised by an ultramarathoner friend that this would
be a good first time marathon trail, and he was right.
My only suggestions for improvement - There was one stretch of trail where there was no mile marker for two miles. This threw me off on my pacing. And it would have been nice to have a pacing team person for the folks like me who just wanted to finish. 5:30 was the slowest pacer, and that was too fast for me. But the pacer I e-mailed gave me great advice. (Thanks for your suggestion……the staff)
